| HONEYCUTT What we know on our HONEYCUTT family could probably fit through the eye of a needle.My main gripe is our GG-Grandfather Alfred Honeycutt b:Oct 1832,according to his military application for benefits he was born in Buncombe Co N.C. We do not find him until the 1860 Federal census for Ky..even then Alfred and his children are split and living in various homes,he and his son Robert were living with a PIGMAN family.There is no wife listed with him,although he he was said to have married twice,with the first four children born to Alfred & Elizabeth AMBURGEY.This is our line.His second marriage was to Elizabeth REYNOLDS who was a first cousin to Elizabeth A.I will attempt to add all the children as I can. We also know that Alfred was in both the Union and Confederate armies.He was discharged in good standing from both..these are from the Adjutant General of the State of Kentucky (C)Historical Data System,Inc. As I can I will add other information which I have but must locate. |
